Is it just loading, or do you run the whole move as well?

Both. Bring your own trailer, POD, Penske, or U-Haul and Tony sends a crew to load or unload it by the hour, or reserve his truck and crew for the entire job. On its own, loading help makes up a good chunk of what we do.

How much will it cost?

One plain quote, given before we begin. A small apartment usually runs $220–$340 and a two-bedroom $520–$800. Booking crew by the hour instead? A pair of movers is $115/hr and a trio is $155/hr, with no hidden fees.

Do you do senior and downsizing moves?

Yes, all the time. A lot of the work is helping families move a parent to a condo or assisted living. Tony goes at a patient pace, protects the floors, and carries the heavy pieces up from a full Michigan basement.

What does no hidden fees mean?

Whatever figure Tony gives you is the figure you settle. The stairs, the basement, the miles, and the awkward heavy pieces are all priced in before we begin, so no fuel add-on, no creeping hourly total, and nothing new at the door.

If I rent the truck, can you load it to survive a long drive?

That is one of Tony's specialties. We keep the weight down low, strap it in layers, and pack it so tight nothing shifts over the miles. Rented too small a truck? Cramming a whole load into an undersized truck is right in our wheelhouse.

Do you move in Michigan winters?

All season. Reviewers mention Tony showing up on time through an ice storm. We lay floor runners so the salt and slush stay outside and clear a safe path before the first dolly rolls.

Can you move a safe, a treadmill, or a piano?

Sure, the bulky heavy pieces are no trouble, with the right boards, dollies, and straps, priced plainly before the day and the floors covered start to finish.

How far ahead should I book?

You can often grab a midweek date on just a few days notice. The weekend slots and month-end dates book up quick, so get in touch early. Last-minute? Ask anyway, Tony takes next-day jobs when he can.

What areas do you cover?

Sterling Heights and all of Macomb County, plus Warren, Utica, Shelby Township, Macomb, Clinton Township, Fraser, and Roseville, and over into Oakland: Troy, Rochester Hills, Madison Heights, and Royal Oak. Tony also loads long-haul trailers out on I-75.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Tony the Mover is a licensed, insured shop out of Sterling Heights, and we look after both your belongings and the home on every job.

“Tony was recommended to me by several coworkers and friends. On my move day, we worked through an ice storm but the team was positive, upbeat, and professional. I was very impressed with how they cared for my belongings and made sure I was completely satisfied with everything. It was a great experience and even though I never want to move again, if I do, I'm calling Tony.”

“Tony has moved me and my children 4 times. I have had him move us from Virginia to Michigan; Michigan to Florida, Virginia to Georgia and Michigan to Colorado. Each time, I have never hesitated to call and have him come move me or my things to some other person. His staff is courteous, friendly, respectful of my things. Damage has been so minimal I never filed a claim with them. As long as Tony is alive and well, he will be my mover til he moves me to the grave. Cannot give him any higher recommendations. I don't even get quotes from others anymore. Note to self: don't leave phone unattended around parents. But I agree- Tony and his guys are really great. They did in fact help us move quite a bit. We are not gypsies, just adventurers.”

“Tony the Mover is wonderful! His crew so professional. They moved us up north and now, I have my fingers crossed, they are able to move us back! Life gets very complicated, but Tony and his crew make everything alot easier! Margaret W. Au Gres, Mi”
